Hi! We are Like A Girl.

Like A Girl is a nonprofit organization that highlights the accomplishments of women of color that are often  underrepresented in history books. Our mission is to include more women of color in the curriculum so children can be educated on the feats of these amazing women.

Name 3 female scientists. You probably said "Marie Curie....uhhhh..." And honestly, we don't blame you! Schools have taught us amazing men, but women are often left out. Now, can you name 3 women of color scientists? Your mind was probably left blank at this seemingly simple question. Again, we don't blame you! This is probably because you were never taught about these women in schools.

Women of color have made incredible contributions to society, but are rarely credited. Students need to change this! Please take a look at our blog to learn more about amazing women of color who have or are changing the world.
