Daniela Pierre Bravo is a very engaging and charismatic public speaker. When she first arrived from Chile, she had to acclimate herself to a new environment. As a child, she was an undocumented immigrant and was saved from deportation due to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. She paid for a college education by full tuition since she wasn’t eligible for governmental grants. Daniela attended the University of Miami, where she majored in International Relations and involved herself in many clubs.
She produces the Morning Joe from NBC, and she has worked in a variety of other media fields. She describes the struggles of being an immigrant while not being able to fit into the various social circles. Around 2019, Daniela released a book titled the Millennial Challenge and vowed to give people of color a platform to speak out.
Daniela advocates for female minorities, especially those suffering from Imposter Syndrome- the psychological feeling of inferiority, even if one is just as capable of doing a job as others. She wants to fight against microaggressions, which are racial comments that can be rooted in prejudice. Her advocacy for equal pay and embracing identity is one to follow. From immigrating without American status to pursuing a full-time media career, Daniela Pierre Bravo has set an example for Latina and minority women worldwide to pursue their dreams.
